With humble beginnings, Dr. Kimberly J. Knopf began her career in 1993 as a volunteer Dental Assistant in Arcadia, California. With a love and passion for patients, health and artistry, she completed both a Bachelors and Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California; where she received the USC Golden Hand Award and USC Alumni Association Endowment Awards. She has completed dozens of hours of volunteer dentistry for underprivileged children in communities spanning from Mexicali to Goleta, California for the USC Mobile Dental Clinic. In 2002, USC granted her the Everitt Payne Award for Dental Occlusion and Morphology.
Upon graduation, she began practicing Cosmetic Dentistry in Beverly Hills and almost immediately had a celebrity following; all while teaching at USC as a Clinical Instructor in Operative and Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Knopf was an Educator at the USC School of Dentistry for 4 years, before committing all of her time to private practice. She has held memberships with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, the California and Los Angeles Dental Societies and Gold Foil Study Club. In collaboration with Colgate, Dr. Knopf was a spokesperson for an educational project called “Colgate Smile Minute” for doctor and patient education via a series of one-minute videos. She also appeared on “Entertainment Tonight” earlier this year, as the Spokesperson of a new organic, preservative/ dye free toothpaste line called Hello! Toothpaste.
Dr. Talia Shainhouse is a Board-Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She is highly trained in the fields of implant dentistry, cosmetic periodontal treatment and periodontal disease and its treatment.
Dr. Shainhouse completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in Toronto, Canada. She then received her DDS from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. Following her graduation, Dr. Shainhouse moved to New York City where she received her post-graduate degree from NYU College of Dentistry. She completed her specialty training at the Ashman Department of Periodontology & Implant Dentistry, where she was mentored by world-renowned experts in the field of oral and periodontal medicine.
Dr. Shainhouse is a clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, the North Eastern Society of Periodontists, the California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Shainhouse has lectured at various continuing education courses including; the Tri-School Periodontics Symposium, The Greater New York Dental Meeting and the Southern California Orofacial Academy annual meeting in Spring 2012.
Dr. Rojin Erfan was raised outside of Washington, D.C. She graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery with honors. Dr. Erfan’s commitment to excellence in dentistry drove her to successfully complete a General Practice Residency (GPR) at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, which is a hospital-based program in an underserved area of the South Bronx of New York. It was during her GPR that she realized her passion for Endodontics.
She then pursued her dream of becoming an endodontist at New York University School of dentistry, where she served as the sole chief resident of the largest endodontics program in the world. In addition to being the largest program, the endodontics residency at NYU boasts the most prestigious and well-known faculty. Dr. Erfan was trained with cutting-edge technology by world famous endodontists. In addition, she has completed outreach in Kathmandju, Nepal and Machias, Maine.
Dr. Erfan currently resides in West Hollywood and enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants, traveling, and learning about new cultures. She also enjoys playing backgammon and watching her favorite show: Game of Thrones.
Dr. Saadat earned his bachelor degree in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at UCLA. He subsequently completed his dental education at UCLA School of Dentistry. Following dental school, he completed his medical and surgical training at Oregon Health and Science University where he received world-class surgical training in comprehensive management of wide array of oral and facial surgical treatments.
His interests and expertise include dentoalveolar reconstruction including complex bone grafting, dental implants, full arch fixed restoration, graftless solutions, Orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, nerve reconstruction, and management of benign and malignant pathology involving oral cavity.
In his free time, Dr. Saadat enjoys kiteboarding, tennis, snowboarding, investing in stocks and stock derivatives, classic guitar, computer programming, reading, and socializing.
